A toolkit for comparison of plans including state of the art methodologies and well established indices have been developed by Pi Medical. Using this functionality, the user can compare the DVHs or directly the 3D dose distributions of two plans.

The DVHs can be compared by making use of the available statistical tests with high or low significance.

The 3D dose distributions of two plans can be compared by making use of standard techniques like the absolute or percentage difference or more sophisticated like Distance-to-agreement (DTA) and Gamma index. Using the powerfull 2D and 3D graphical representation the user can have easy to understand results within some seconds.

The commercial version of this toolkit was launched under the name Multi Plan in 2007 with Oncentra Prostate version 3.0 and is also available in Oncentra GYN launched in 2008.
